In honor of The Storm McInerny Memorial Scholarship Fund, we pledge the profits from our merchandise to support aspiring firefighters. OUR FAMILY
Angelique and Chris McInerny’s love for food, family, and community inspired them to open Backdraft Bar & Grill in Bonsall, CA. This cozy and welcoming eatery was born from a shared dream with Chris's brother, Storm McInerny—a dedicated firefighter with 32 years of service and a beloved paramedic instructor at Palomar College. Known for his exceptional culinary skills, Storm was set to be the creative force in the kitchen of the restaurant they envisioned next to their store, Bonsall Fine Wine and Spirits.
Though the original location fell through, the vision never faded. After Storm’s untimely passing, Angelique and Chris discovered a perfect spot just a block away. Fueled by love and determination, they moved forward with the project to honor Storm’s legacy.
Backdraft Bar & Grill stands as a heartfelt tribute to Storm’s passion for service and cooking. The McInernys strive to keep his spirit alive through delicious food, a warm atmosphere, and unwavering community support—including the Storm McInerney Memorial Scholarship Fund for aspiring paramedics and firefighters.
